This superb classic was manufactured in 1952 in Parkside, Coventry. Our particular model is a very rare "Six Light" of which only 274 were produced and now only 6 remain on the road. With a cruising speed of 55 mph, seating for 5 and a chauffeur, she makes a brilliant car for any occassion.
Rolls Royce built the engine and rolling chassis of this vintage 20/25 D-back Limousine while one of the leading coachbuilders, Thrupp and Maberley, supplied the bespoke coachwork and interior. She remains in her originial colours of ivory and black and has a glass partition affording extra privacy for the passengers. With the use of the 2 occasional seats she can seat up to 7.
Total restoration of this car was completed in 2007. The Riley RMD(Riley Motors Drophead) is a 2,500cc 100 BHP model. They represent the last of the traditional ash framed coachwork cars. The Saloons were often used by the policebecause of good power and handling capabilities. The Dropheads were much rarer, only some 500 were made of which the majority were Left Hand Drive and exported to the USA. This is a roomy 4 seater tourer.
